DoorDash in the US 2026 – Introduction
DoorDash statistics in the US 2026 describe the largest food and local delivery platform in the United States. Founded in 2013 by four Stanford students, DoorDash reported $13.7 billion in revenue for 2025 and $13.1 billion in the first nine months of 2026 alone. On October 29, 2026 it released third-quarter results and announced a definitive agreement to acquire Instacart at $65.00 per share, an equity value of about $17 billion.
DoorDash reports one set of figures for the US and its international brands, Wolt and Deliveroo, so company numbers in this report are global unless stated. US market share figures come from third-party estimates, which differ by source, and are labeled that way. Figures run through October 30, 2026, and forecasts and deal terms are labeled as company expectations.

Revenue in the first nine months of 2026 was about 34% higher than the same period in 2025.
DoorDash’s guidance points to further growth. For Q4 2026 it expects Marketplace GOV of $35.4 billion to $36.4 billion and Adjusted EBITDA of $900 million to $1.1 billion. These are company expectations, and the company says its outlook assumes stable consumer demand and currency rates.

Annual revenue rose from about $10.7 billion in 2024 to about $13.7 billion in 2025, and nine-month 2026 revenue of $13.1 billion is already close to the full 2025 total. The 2025 figure includes only the last quarter of Deliveroo, which closed on October 2, 2025, so 2026 is the first year with a full contribution.
Profit has grown faster than revenue. Net income for 2025 was $935 million, compared with about $123 million in 2024, and nine-month 2026 net income of $850 million is already near that total. Q3 2026 alone accounted for $466 million.

Membership drives much of this. In Q2 2026, DashPass members placed about 75% of orders in US grocery and retail, and the company said it added more paid US DashPass members in the 12 months through Q2 than in the previous 24 months combined.

DoorDash’s audience has nearly tripled since its first year as a public company. At the end of 2020 it reported 20 million consumers, and in December 2025 it served over 56 million monthly active users. The two measures are defined differently, so the comparison shows scale rather than an exact growth rate. The 35 million member figure includes Wolt+ and Deliveroo Plus, so it is not a US-only DashPass count.
The company does not publish a US-only user count in these filings. It says US DashPass paid members have grown strongly, and that its marketplaces served merchants, consumers and Dashers in over 40 countries. Dashers are independent contractors, and the company reports their earnings, over $20 billion in 2025, rather than a headcount.

The Instacart deal is the largest in DoorDash’s history. Instacart holders can elect $65.00 in cash, 0.3372 DoorDash shares, or a mix, with stock capped at 25% of the total. The price is a 26% premium to Instacart’s October 22 close. DoorDash targets $500 million or more in annual synergies over several years, and expects to reinvest more than 100% of synergies in the first year after closing.
Approvals are still required. The deal needs Instacart stockholder approval, US antitrust clearance under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act, and approvals including Canada and Israel. Holders of about 19% of Instacart’s shares have agreed to vote in favor. DoorDash’s earlier deals changed its scale: Wolt added international markets, and Deliveroo added the UK and more than 1 million merchants to the combined platform.
